We take on a responsibility to people, the environment and our region.

We are a family business with more than 160 year tradition, long-lasting products, a unique culture of appreciation, and established roots in our region – we have always thought and acted in a sustainable way, and we are aware of our responsibility to people, the environment, and our region.

Strategy

Sustainability is more than just a strategy

We consider sustainable action to be an essential component of ensuring a liveable future for everyone on the planet. In this respect, sustainability is more than just a strategy or an empty phrase for us; as a family business, it has always been one of our fundamental business principles and rules of conduct, and is being integrated ever more firmly into all of our processes and our entire product portfolio.

As a family business, we have always concentrated on long-term concepts, instead of short-term profits. Sustainability influences our everyday actions along the entire supply chain – from purchasing our raw materials to recycling and waste management.

Our projects

Specific measures we have undertaken:

  • Greenhouse gas neutrality by 2045 at the latest, and a significant reduction of our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030
  • Continuous expansion of ISO14001 and ISO45001 certified production sites
  • Continuous improvement of our products in terms of sustainability and the processing of sustainable materials
  • Use of innovations for better and more sustainable development of our products
  • Further development and establishment of a resource-saving circular economy for our products – from development to recycling
  • Expansion of sustainability criteria in our supplier audits, and thereby in the supply chain for which we are responsible
Our action areas

Our three action areas

Going beyond legal requirements and taking on comprehensive responsibility are top priorities for our company. Because of this, we are engaged in a sustainable transformation with specific targets and activities in these three overarching action areas:

Materiality analysis

Materiality analysis – we are making sustainable strides in these areas

To act in the most targeted and efficient manner possible in the area of sustainability, we have prioritised our activities in different action areas through a materiality analysis. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations form the foundation of our actions, for socially, ecologically and economically sustainable development. We are committed to the Sustainable Development Goals and have integrated them into our guiding management principles. We are contributing in particular to the following six goals:

At GEZE, we understand that buildings will make a key contribution to reducing energy consumption, and therefore CO2 emissions, for the long-term. That is why the focus is on smart and energy-saving solutions more than ever before for both us and our customers.

Compliance

Compliance

Our corporate success is based on principles and values that build trust. We continuously question and develop these principles and values, which have been anchored in a Code of Conduct for many years. This globally valid Code of Conduct summarises important principles and basic values of the GEZE Group, to which we are obliged within the framework of our global business transactions. They are applicable for the daily business with employees, customers and suppliers as well as for our attitude towards society and the environment. In addition, we have established a compliance management system that raises our employees' awareness of the topic, educates them and also provides them with the opportunity to report violations.
